JOSELINES-galapagos-suites

Galápagos Suites was started as a way to allow people from all over the world to experience the Galapagos Islands while resting in a very comfortable place run by two local women.

Joseline Rhor, is a hard-working woman who decided more than two decades ago to migrate from Quito to Galápagos seeking a better future for her two daughters. Since she arrived to the islands, she has been working in the tourism industry with different cruise boat companies. Her main role had been to provide all land services for travelers.

In 2009, she opened Galápagos Suites as a Bed and Breakfast along with her oldest daughter. She truly enjoys providing a comfortable stay in her small hotel and helping guests have a great experience in the islands.

Her daughter, Joseline Cardoso, grew up in a special paradise: the Galápagos Islands. She spent her school years in Santa Cruz, and when she was eighteen years old, she realized that she wanted to become a Naturalist Guide. She went to the United States for a student exchange program for a year, and then to Italy, to learn and master the Italian language. She has a Bachelor's degree in Tourism and Hotel Management and a Master degree in Management and Planning of Tourism.

In 2005 she was able to accomplish one of her dreams: to become a Naturalist Guide of the Galápagos Islands. Being a Naturalist Guide allows her to share with her guests the wonders of the Enchanted Islands and the importance of protecting the fragile environment for future generations. In 2009, her second dream came true when she and her mother started their small hotel.

She is confident that the hotel offers a high quality lodging opportunity to enhance the experience of the people that decide to participate in community-based tourism.

Its always a good sign when the owner is on site and does most of the work...Joseline looks after her guests like they are old friends. I think that tells it all. Good location, lovely breakfast, very clean and spacey rooms, we loved our 5 days here very much and will be back!

My wife and I enjoyed four nights at Hotel Galápagos Suites. What a lovely place! We liked our big room on the third floor, the cool island breezes, and great service overall. The location is good and day trips were Easy with help from Joseline.

My mom and I stayed at Hotel Galapagos Suites for 2 nights during our recent trip to The Galapagos. We made Puerto Ayora our home base, and the location and quality of this hotel made it such a fantastic experience. The location is perfect, in my opinion. It’s extremely central to my mom and my favorite section of town, but able to be a bit quieter as it’s a couple blocks removed from Charles Darwin Ave.

We just got back from a one week stay at this hotel and had a wonderful time. I couldn’t imagine staying anywhere else. Where to begin? The property is very well maintained and rooms are immaculate. Joseline greeted us on our arrival and showed us to our room in the top floor. It had the best view — nice balcony with hammock and chair with a view of the water in the distance.
